Here at Dr. Dillard's office we want to make this new journey for your child a fun and rewarding experience. There is no doubt,
your child's path to optimal dental health starts here!
To prevent future dental problems of all kinds, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and American Academy of Pediatrics recommend that a baby’s first oral exam should be no later than his/her first birthday (6-12 months old).
We call this a "peek-a-boo" appointment. What this allows us to do is, familiarize your child with dental hygiene and show them how fun their check ups can be. Starting at this early age helps to prevent the early stages of tooth decay and educate parents in their children's dental health.
"TV's make all the difference for our children during visits."
The American Dental Association recommends adolescent cleanings twice a year. Giving your child this care every 6 months will provide them with the tools they need to maintain a healthy smile.
